How many people do you serve each day?
Customer traffic varies according to any number of factors
from the day of the week, to ‘who’ is serving, and then there is
the weather that day or the
day before, the season, or even what’s happening in the stock market or
the world in general.
How much money do you make?
This is a question that continues to surprise us. For a
price, I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours. Otherwise our Valets (independent
contractors) are not at liberty
to discuss the operation of Penny Loafers Shoe Shine Company Inc. Please direct

How do you find your people to do the shoe shining?
All are so charming, funny and bright. Company secret.However,
I will tell you that at any given time most come to us as a referral from within.
Perhaps we are doing something right. We are in the ‘Feel Good’ Business,
for the benefit
of customers and Valets.
Is ‘Tipping’ permitted?
By all means. HOWEVER, it means even more to us if instead
you return another day, especially if you bring or tell your friends!
How did you get started?
Long story. Check out some of our press,

in which we are profiled.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Absolutely!! Perfectly priced for a ‘Secret Santa’ (Santa
shops here, too).
Do you offer ‘Vouchers’?
Again, absolutely!! Please contact Penny for more
information about how you can knock the socks’ off of your friends,
colleagues and customers at little
cost to you or your company.
Will you come into our office on a regular basis?
Yes and no. Please contact Penny for more information.
Dependant upon your location and minimum guarantees of 12 or more participants
for scheduled visits. How about doing a company sock wash one day! Treat
your staff to a shoe shine.
Do you sell electric shoe polishing equipment?
YES! We are agents for any number of shoe shine machines
available for personal or institutional use. Please contact us with your
name and contact information including email and telephone numbers.
Where are your permanent locations?
The Fairmont Royal York, First Canadian Place (by the ATM’s),
and the Toronto-Dominion Centre (under the E&Y Tower, directly across from
the Soup
Market).
Who is the most famous person you have served?
Heather Locklear stopped by to admire one of our
show chairs, and Erin Brockovich stood by as a friend took a shine. Otherwise,
many are unknown to us by face or by reputation in any number of fields.

YES, YES and YES!!! Anywhere there’s a crowd.
